What Is a Major 10 Currency Converter?

This calculator converts one amount from a selected source currency into 10 supported currencies in a single calculation. Instead of opening separate USD, EUR, GBP, INR or regional currency calculators, the user chooses one source currency and receives the full set of results together.

The supported list is designed around widely used international and regionally relevant currencies: US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP), Indian Rupee (INR), UAE Dirham (AED), Saudi Riyal (SAR), Japanese Yen (JPY), Chinese Yuan (CNY), Australian Dollar (AUD) and Canadian Dollar (CAD).

How the Currency Conversion Works

The calculator retrieves an exchange-rate set for the selected source currency. If the source amount is A and the rate from the source currency to a target currency is R, the target amount is calculated by multiplication.

Target Amount = Source Amount × Source-to-Target Exchange Rate

For example, if the source amount is 100 USD and the USD-to-EUR rate is 0.85, the indicative result is 100 × 0.85 = 85 EUR. Actual bank, card, cash and remittance amounts can differ because providers may apply their own rates, spreads and fees.

Why Do We Multiply by the Exchange Rate?

An exchange rate expresses how many units of the target currency correspond to one unit of the source currency. Multiplying the source amount by that rate scales the one-unit relationship to the amount entered.

Reverse Conversion

Source Amount = Target Amount ÷ Source-to-Target Exchange Rate

Reverse calculations should use the corresponding reciprocal rate. Rounding intermediate rates too early can create small differences.

Currency Conversion Examples

Example 1: USD to Multiple Currencies

Suppose you enter 1,000 USD. After the current indicative USD rate set is retrieved, the calculator applies the USD-to-EUR, USD-to-INR, USD-to-AED, USD-to-SAR and other target rates separately. The result table therefore shows all 10 currencies from the same 1,000 USD input.

Example 2: INR to Multiple Currencies

If you enter 100,000 INR, select INR as the source currency, and calculate, the same process converts the amount into USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, JPY, CNY, AUD and CAD while also showing the INR amount.

Example 3: SAR to Multiple Currencies

A Saudi Riyal amount can be converted into the full supported set. This can be useful for comparing the approximate value of a salary, transfer amount, travel budget or international purchase across currencies.

Why Exchange Rates Change

Currency exchange rates can move because of interest-rate expectations, inflation, economic data, trade flows, capital movements, market demand and supply, monetary policy and other financial-market factors. Some currencies can also have managed or pegged exchange-rate arrangements.

Because rates can change throughout the day, a conversion calculated at one time may differ from a later conversion. A calculator result is therefore a rate-based estimate rather than a guaranteed settlement amount.

Where Can This Calculator Be Used?

  • Travel and holiday budgeting
  • International salary comparisons
  • Remittance planning
  • Cross-border shopping estimates
  • Freelance and international invoice estimates
  • Import and export calculations
  • General currency comparison
  • Financial education and currency-rate reference

Currency Conversion for International Transfers

For an international transfer, the displayed conversion should be treated as an indicative estimate. Banks, exchange houses, remittance providers and card networks may use different rates and may add a spread or transaction fee.

Important: The amount received by another person may be different from the calculator result after provider fees, exchange-rate margins, taxes or other charges.

Common Currency Conversion Mistakes

  • Using an old exchange rate for a current transaction.
  • Confusing the source currency with the target currency.
  • Reading a reciprocal rate as though it were the original rate.
  • Ignoring provider fees and exchange-rate spreads.
  • Rounding the rate too early.
  • Assuming the calculator result is the exact amount a bank or exchange house will pay.

Accuracy and Limitations

This calculator is designed for general currency conversion and comparison. It retrieves an indicative rate set when the calculation is performed. It does not guarantee a transaction rate from a bank, card issuer, exchange house, remittance provider or broker.

Rates may be unavailable temporarily if the external rate service is unavailable. Market rates can also change after a result has been calculated. Always confirm the final rate, fees and settlement amount with your actual provider before making a financial transaction.

Calculation Methodology

The calculator requests a rate set using the selected source currency as the base. For every supported target currency, the application reads the corresponding source-to-target rate and applies the same source amount.

For each target currency T:
Result(T) = Amount(Source) × Rate(Source → T)

The displayed values are rounded only for presentation according to the selected decimal-place setting. The underlying rate returned by the service is used for the calculation.
